Service Description

ChainOfFact is an append-only evidence system that records, hashes, and preserves events for later verification. The service does not interpret, score, or certify the meaning of recorded events.

Acceptable Use

You may use ChainOfFact to record events for legal, regulatory, audit, or forensic purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you submit.

Immutability

Data submitted to ChainOfFact cannot be modified or deleted. This is by design. Do not submit data you may later wish to remove. There are no exceptions to this policy.

No Interpretation

ChainOfFact records facts. It does not:

• Interpret causality
• Assign blame or credit
• Certify compliance
• Judge correctness
• Explain outcomes

All interpretation is your responsibility.

Limitation of Liability

ChainOfFact provides evidence preservation, not legal advice, compliance certification, or safety guarantees. Use of verification results in legal or regulatory contexts is at your own risk.

Service Availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uptime. Evidence bundles are designed to be verifiable offline precisely because network access cannot be guaranteed.
